remove log_dir, conf_dir, spool_dir if empty
remove run_dir in any case

1 This is the old manual by oku, dated May/July 2000. At this time the
2 development must just have started with the 0.1 versions.
4 Many things are still the same as then, but there are things that
5 changed. Please keep this in mind when you read the manual.
