meillo@3: Receiving and sending mails with multiple accounts meillo@3:

meillo@3: My system is running under Linux SuSE 7.1 with firewall, masquerading meillo@3: and ISDN-dial-up connection (nothing of that will be described meillo@3: below). It was a quite lot of work to get all meillo@3: components accordingly running for doing the job they are intended to meillo@3: do. meillo@3: meillo@3:

meillo@3: First of all, lets have a look at the big picture -- the real thing meillo@3: and my requirements are: meillo@3: meillo@3:

meillo@3: In short, I want to receive mails from different E-Mail providers, meillo@3: manage the mail within one application and send out mails via meillo@3: different providers. Especially the last point is under LINUX a meillo@3: big obstacle, because of being a native server system it seems to be meillo@3: no way to go outside with different faces. meillo@3:
meillo@3: Solving this leads me towards the following bunch of applications meillo@3: building my working environment: meillo@3: meillo@3:
    meillo@3:
  1. Mail-Transport-Agent (MTA) MasqMail meillo@3:
  2. meillo@3:
  3. Mail-User-Agent (MUA) mutt meillo@3:
  4. meillo@3:
  5. Mail-Delivery-Agent procmail meillo@3:
  6. meillo@3:
