meillo@3: My system is running under Linux SuSE 7.1 with firewall, masquerading
meillo@3: and ISDN-dial-up connection (nothing of that will be described
meillo@3: below). It was a quite lot of work to get all
meillo@3: components accordingly running for doing the job they are intended to
meillo@3: do.

meillo@3:
meillo@3: First of all, lets have a look at the big picture -- the real thing
meillo@3: and my requirements are:

meillo@3:
I have several E-Mail accounts at different providers with different
meillo@3: access behaviours.
meillo@3:
meillo@3:
I am a subscriber of multiple mailing-list and want
meillo@3: to sort this traffic out of common E-Mailing.
meillo@3:
meillo@3:
I want to assure only using oneMail-User-Agent
meillo@3: during daily work, managing all different mail-accounts.
meillo@3:
meillo@3:
I want to use a MUA doing some PGP-stuff automatically.
meillo@3:
meillo@3:
meillo@3: In short, I want to receive mails from different E-Mail providers,
meillo@3: manage the mail within one application and send out mails via
meillo@3: different providers. Especially the last point is under LINUX a
meillo@3: big obstacle, because of being a native server system it seems to be
meillo@3: no way to go outside with different faces.
meillo@3:
meillo@3: Solving this leads me towards the following bunch of applications
meillo@3: building my working environment:
