this is the correct message for the last commit
I really hate it when I check in too early or too much by accident!
Maybe I should add a confirmation there to prevent me from doing stupid things.
But now what I checked in with the last commit:
- titlepage became the real titlepage, specifying all important info
- cover became the real cover to be the very first page
- the previous cover became pretitle, and moved between the other two
- my confirmation that I wrote the thesis on my own moved to the appendix
- the abstract and keywords moved to the back of the pretitle
- the copyright information extended
- the market share table is in a temporary state! (Needs verification!)
- some cleanups
Ten small commits instead of this huge one with an afterwards added message
are what I intended ... now I am in a bad mood because of this mess :-(

1 Masqmail ist ein Mail Transfer Agent wie Sendmail und kann diesen
2 ersetzen. Er bietet alle gängigen Funktionen eines MTA und zudem die
3 Möglichkeit Mails abhängig von äußeren Faktoren über verschiedene
4 Mail-Relays (ISPs wie GMX) zu versenden.
6 Im Gegensatz zu den bekannten MTAs Sendmail, Postfix, Exim ist sein
7 Codeumfang nur etwa ein Zehntel. Auch verglichen mit Qmail ist er nur
8 halb so groß.
10 Somit ist Masqmail ein kleiner, überschaubarer MTA der gerade für
11 Workstations (ohne ständige Internetanbindung) oder für kleine Netze
12 geeignet ist.
14 Aktive Entwicklung von Masqmail findet seit einiger Zeit kaum noch
15 statt. Auch anstehende Bugfixes werden nicht, oder nur begrenzt,
16 vorgenommen.
17 Genutzt wird das Programm aber allemal, denn kleine MTAs für
18 nicht-permanente Verbindungen gibt es sonst (AFAIR) keine.
20 Ich will mich in meiner DA in die Konzepte eines MTA am Beispiel von
21 Masqmail einarbeiten. Ich möchte eine Sicherheitsanalyse durchführen
22 und nach kritischen Stellen im Code suchen. Anschließend möchte ich
23 den Code verbessern, wo es nötig ist.
25 Mein großes Ziel im Hintergrund ist es, diesem Programm wieder mehr
26 Leben einzuhauchen. Ich möchte Masqmail zukünftig weiterentwickeln, es
27 betreuen und vor allem die bisher sehr spärliche Dokumentation stark
28 ausbauen.
