470 Most quality properties can hardly be added to a software afterwards. Hence, if reliability, extendability, or maintainability shall be improved, a redesign of \masqmail\ is the best way to take. The wish to improve quality inevitably point towards a modular architecture. The need for further features, especially ones that require changes in \masqmail's structure, support the decision for a new design too.
